Following a large-scale renovation, preserving only the thick natural-stone exterior walls and the oak ceiling beams, our very own ‘maison d’hôtes’ opened its doors to guests in early 2013. Thanks to the excellent insulation that was installed, this lovely home is great for stays at any time of year. It has become a roomy, robust, and stylish home, which comes with all modern conveniences. Comfortable and tastefully decorated while preserving authentic details, combined with sleek design.
This house can accommodate a maximum of 4 people, offering two large bedrooms with their own sitting areas and en-suite bathrooms, as well as a lovely living/dining room combination with a wood stove. Our guests are often pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness, not expecting a whopping 135 square metres of floor area!
In the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooking enthusiasts can cook to their heart’s content, as it offers a large gas-fired Falcon range cooker with a twin oven, as well as a selection of cookbooks (see also Table d’hôtes). There are electric heaters in all rooms. And there is an iPod docking station, a computer, and a flat-screen TV, with international channels. The house also offers free WiFi.
Madame Chapelle was widower Edouard Laraison’s housekeeper, and his daughter’s nanny. She lived on the ground floor of the house for years.
