Travelling on Thalys/TGV
The Le Creusot-Montceau-Monchanin TGV station is 45km from Clos Laraison
(buy tickets on Oui.sncf). In most cases, travelling to this station will include a transfer in Paris, i.e. from Gare du Nord – which is the Eurostar terminal station – to Gare de Lyon, to catch a southbound TGV. The journey from Paris to Le Creusot is just over an hour. Make sure you have at least 1.5 hours for the transfer in Paris.
At Le Creusot, you can rent a car or take a taxi. We do advise you, though, to rent a car to get around, because there is very little public transport in the area. Various car rental firms have an office near the station, but do bear in mind that these have limited opening hours on weekends.

An alternative route is via Reims-Troyes (A26 > A5). Take the Magnant exit (no. 22) and follow the route Bar-sur-Seine (D443), Châtillon-sur-Seine (D971), and then onwards past Montbard – Semur-en-Auxois – Saulieu on the D980. Drive through Saulieu and take the D15 to Autun (which becomes the D4 and then the D981). Cross Autun and take the D981 from Autun to Luzy. In Luzy, take the D973 towards Bourbon-Lancy.
